Paris update 2

Bonjour Messieurs and Madames,Well, it has been an exciting few days... we have mastered the subway system, are managing to speak a little french, "Exusemoi Missieur, parlouz francais?" is getting a good run!!! We have continued our world's
Our Apartment window longest getting lost streak and today Troy had his wallet stolen in McDonalds... in all, we're having a fab time!! Our first night here, we took ourselves out for a night time tour of the sights featuring The Louvre,
Arc De Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. Of course we then went for a drink and missed the last train home and then got lost at 2am looking for our Apartment. What should have taken 20 mins took 50 but we got there in the end and discovered some new parts of town while we were at it!! Me doing my Da Vinci impression outside the Louvre

Yesterday we took the train to Versailles (of course going to the wrong place resulting in a 45 min backtrack and then another 20 min journey to get there) which was kind of interesting but very hot with it reaching about 32c. Once back in Paris we went to Sacre Couer which is a huge cathedral with stained glass windows all round and
climbed the 298 steps to the top of the bell tower for some amazing views of the
city. That night we found a quaint French restaurant with a cheap set menu and we were done for the day. Today we took ourselves to the Catacombs which is a tunnel system lined with the bones of a few million Parisians from the 18th century which was nice... amazingly there are loose skulls and leg and arm bones for you to play with. Obviously you're not supposed to actually touch them but I just couldn't help myself!! After that we went to Notre Dame and then got to Maccas where Troy's wallet was taken. Basically a young guy was "selling magazines" and being really pushy when really, he was distracting us while he took Troy's wallet off the table. Once we realised we reported it to the Police and stopped all the cards but we don't hold much hope to see it again. Anyway, we're trying not to let it dampen our spirits, have arranged money through the post office and will put it behind us and continue on our ventures... Still no luck with shrinking the pics but have sent some home for Gareth to work his magic on... Stay tuned for some piccies VV soon!!Aurevior!!

Hi Dan!
Sound like you are both having a awesome time, though it's a shame about Tim's wallet.
Did you like Versailles? How massive is it? I couldn't believe that it would take about 60mins to walk to the end of the backyard. It's certainly good to be the King. Well it was... back then.
What other places have you seen in Paris? Have you been clubbing there, or is this the cultural part of the tour? We went to a cluc called "La Queen", it was full of cute guys and very bizarre drag queens, but the music was great!
Speaking of the other Paris, I'm taking good care of her but I still haven't listened to the whole CD yet.
And speaking of the other, other Paris. Well I haven't seen her at all... :-) But we'll always have Paris.
Have a great time!
